Drew McPherson has worked in the film & television industry as a director and editor for the past 15 years on television series, commercials and documentaries.

Drew is currently directing a documentary series called (Nine Lives) A multi year project with big wave surfer Mark Visser to track down and ride the biggest wave know to man.

He has directed television series such as ʻAustraliaʼs Greatest Athleteʼ – Ch 9, ʻSearch for the Panjo All-starsʼ -nickelodeon and Xventure for ONE HD.

Commercial experience extends to companies such as: National Rugby league, KFC, Kia, Kleenex, RAMS home loans, Katies, Millers, Sunday Telegraph, Robert Timms, World Vision, Speights NZ and Johnson & Johnson.

Drew won ‘Best Cinematography’ (Tropfest 2004) for the short film ‘For Every Year‘.

As a Director, Cinematographer and Editor Drew embraces and owns new technologies such as the RED camera format and the Blackmagic cinema cameras which bring outstanding results within a cost efficient, streamline workflow. Drew’s background and experience in sound engineering and editing brings a high level of technical skill and creativity to all the projects he directs.
